What is your fee schedule?


Investment Management fees are charged on assets that are under management. The schedule is tiered and starts at 0.95%


How do you charge your fees?


Investment Management fees are charged on a quarterly basis in arrears. 

Financial Planning fees are charged on a per-project basis 


Are you paid in any way by commissions?


No. I am a Fee-Only Wealth Manager which means I do not sell, or get paid by, any products. 


Are you a fiduciary?


Yes. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional I am bound to act as a fiduciary, see below. 


What is the definition of fiduciary?


I offer you two definitions: 


According to Merriam-Webster:

of, relating to, or involving a confidence or trust: such as
a: held or founded in trust or confidence
b: holding in trust
c: depending on public confidence for value or currency 

According to the CFP® Board's Code of Ethics:


What does it mean to act as a fiduciary? A CFP® professional must fulfill the following duties:

  • Duty of Loyalty — A CFP® professional must place the interests of the client above the interests of the CFP® professional and the CFP® professional’s firm. A CFP® professional also must avoid conflicts of interest, or fully disclose material conflicts of interest to the client, obtain the client’s informed consent, and manage the conflict.
  • Duty of Care — A CFP® professional must act with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence that a prudent professional would exercise in light of the client’s goals, risk tolerance, objectives, and financial and personal circumstances. •
  • Duty to Follow Client Instructions — A CFP® professional must comply with the terms of the client engagement and follow all directions of the client that are reasonable and lawful.

Why should I consider ONLY working with a fiduciary?


As defined above, I must act in your best interest, not mine! 


What states are you registered in?


We are registered with the State of Texas as well as the State of California.


Can you work with clients in other states?


Yes! Most states allow us to work with a small number of clients without registration. Call us if you'd like to find out more. 


Do you have an account or relationship minimum?


We currently do not impose an account or relationship minimum, however in certain situations the investment portfolio may be different due to portfolio size. Call us to discuss what this may look like. 


What type of investments do you typically use?


We use a combination of assets, including but not limited to Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Stocks, Bonds and money market instruments.
